LEED FOR HOMES

OUR BELIEF 

GREENER STOCK in Cincinnati, Ohio encourages homeowners to switch to the LEED for Homes rating system, which “promotes the design and construction of high-performance green homes” (USGBC.org). This is one of the several LEED rating systems and is tailored to different building types and project scopes.


A project can achieve one of the four tiers of LEED certification (certified, silver, gold, and platinum). Certification is based on points awarded in the following eight categories:

  • Location and Linkages
  • Sustainable Sites
  • Water Efficiency

  • Energy and Atmosphere

  • Materials and Resources

  • Indoor Environmental Quality
  • Awareness and Education
